Tips for your session:
The most fun sessions are with toddlers who are unpredictable and uninhibited.  I try to let them “do their thing”, with little direction to capture their personality.

I try to use minimal props as to not distract from your child.  I will use props if it compliments the child, or if it is necessary for the scene.  I do HIGHLY recommend bringing your Childs favorite toy or “lovey”.  These capture the stage of life that your child is in.  If your little girl loves to play dress up, I have several high-quality, soft & beautiful pettiskirts.  I recommend bringing a white tank top to wear with the pettiskirt.  Or, you are welcome to bring her dress up clothes!
Try to make sure that you and your children are well rested and well fed.

For adults: darker colors tend to make a person look smaller.  Whites, or lighter colors give a larger appearance.  Solid colors are best.  We want your photos to be about YOU & not the crazy pattern on your shirt!  I also recommend choosing colors that are complementary to your homes décor. I prefer bare feet.  They add to the timeless feel of my photographic style.

If you are having a family, or group session, please wear the same or complementing colors.
Feel free to bring a few different outfits for variety. Bring a hairbrush & makeup in case touchups are needed.

, if you color your hair, please make sure that it is cut and colored about a week prior to your session.  Please, please don’t do anything drastic to your hair the night before!  Allow a week for your hair to settle.

If you are having a maternity session, your hands will be in the photos.  Please make sure that your nails are freshly manicured, or how you would like them shown in a photo.  Please bring several tight fitting tops.  Loose clothes won’t show your growing belly.  Feel free to bring several skirts and jeans.  I also have several wraps for you to choose from.
I try to take maternity photos 4-6 weeks prior to your due date.

If you are having a Newborn or baby session, please note that I do not rush through the session.  I want the session to be as comfortable as possible for baby and parents.  If baby isn’t up to being photographed at the time that the session is scheduled, I will gladly reschedule at no charge.  I try to capture photos of the baby asleep and awake.  I prefer photos that show the innocence & freshness of the newborn.  This means bare skin, or minimal clothes.  Feel free to bring a blanket, or several blankets that you would like photographed with your baby.

!  It’s all about YOU at your session!  Bring TONS of clothes, (don’t forget your prom dress!) and accessories. Feel free to bring a friend.  A session is always more memorable when you bring a buddy!  We will get a couple of shots of you and your BFF!

I prefer natural light, but our weather doesn't always allow for shooting outdoors. I have several favorite locations and you are always welcome to recommend your favorite spot. For my studio sessions; I have a small, in home studio. I advise that only the persons that are going to be in the photo shoot come.
